Description

This workshop has been specifically designed and tailored for those eager to learn techniques, while developing essential skills and establish an artistic foundation.

It's a hands-on introduction to the fundamental skills that form the backbone of good art.

Whether you’ve never picked up a pencil before or are wanting to refine your techniques, this workshop offers a welcoming environment to learn and explore.

The fee includes everything:

  • All art mediums

  • A variety of papers

  • Coffee, Tea & Biscuits

Throughout this 3 hour workshop, you will engage in hands-on exercises that cover:

  • Drawing Techniques – Explore essential mark-making, shapes, and textures while building confidence in your drawing skills. Experiment with pencils and pastels, then create and take home your own Still Life using contour drawing.

  • The Personality of Charcoal – Discover how charcoal brings boldness through tonal values and expression. Try mark-making exercises, embrace its smudgy, expressive nature, and create your own landscape to take home.

Each exercise is thoughtfully created to help you develop your knowledge, build your skills and develop your unique style.
You will be encouraged to explore and express and above all, avoid perfection.

You will take home a Still Life Drawing plus a Charcoal Landscape.

The aim of this workshop is to give you opportunity to learn some skills, build your knowledge base and practice developing your own style of art making. So, join us, and let your artistic adventure begin!

Just bring a smile and get ready to enjoy yourself!
