Hi, and thanks for dropping by!
In my art practice, I’m passionate about two things — teaching and telling stories. I live in Tasmania, Australia, and my work focuses on women: their identity, resilience, and courage, expressed through paintings, drawings, and sculpture.
Telling Stories: At present, I’m concentrating on a new series called Unfolding Women — wall sculptures in shadow boxes featuring symbolic objects from each woman’s story. Each piece is linked by a red thread that symbolises menstruation. My hope is that viewers feel these stories and spark conversations between women and men to deepen understanding of women’s experiences, challenges, and strengths.

Teaching: After earning a few Fine Art degrees, teaching Drawing at Newcastle University, and spending 35 years practising and teaching art in schools, I’m excited to now give back. I encourage everyone to pick up a pencil or brush and start your mark making/sketching/drawing/painting—art making is one of the most beautiful ways to express yourself and discover a quiet renewal and personal nourishment.
Thanks again for stopping by — I hope to see you soon, either as a collector or a student!
Oh, and you’ll mostly find me at my studio at Quamby Estate, Hagley—it’s where I spend my days painting and running classes. By appointment only.
